Starting Out
Hi! My name is Nate Wertjes. I live in the outskirts of the Olympia, WA and I am the owner of Dragonfly Farm Goats, with my dad as the money man. In October 2010, we bought our first goats from Dee Gee Goats over in Salah, Washington. After a summer of studying meat goats and the market, we jumped in head first. What a fun adventure that has been!
I never would have been able to go so far with this without the great support from my dad and mom. My grandpa, a vet in Iowa, also gave me great advice and support. There are also many others who gave me their time by letting me describe every little nuance about every goat (this means you Grandma W.).
